Hungry Girl Eats

Gargantuan venison meatballs, leftover from a big batch made the day before. Bacon fat roasted asparagus, tossed with my latest obsession, mixed sea vegetables

  2. What is your recipe for venison meatballs?!?! I have a freezer full of venison and I am always looking for new ways of cooking it!

  3. I don't have one recipe. I change it up all the time. The only thing I stick to, with venison, is adding in extra fat. So, I'll cube up some bacon and put it in there if that fits with the rest of the spices or I'll just add some lard/tallow into the mix. I also use eggs to help bind it and the rest is just onions, fresh herbs, maybe some spices (I love thai pastes with fresh cilantro, lemongrass, and fresh ginger, especially this time of year when everything seems to be getting all sunny). In the winter I make things a little heartier with rosemary, oregano, savory... stuff like that.
